I am a wedding and portrait photographer in South Carolina. I was born in Savannah, Georgia, but raised in Pennsylvania. I am married with two children, and my family is the light of my life. My children are why I chose to dive into the professional photography world, but weddings are why I stay. I love to read, edit my photos, play with my kids, crochet blankets, make people laugh, listen to true crime podcasts, and take naps.
"Failure to plan is planning to fail" and so when you invest with me, I immerse myself in planning each and every detail of your session alongside you. I am here for outfit checks and suggestions, as well as location details, and the creation of a timeline for longer shoots and wedding days. Once you are on my schedule, you are a part of my life. We will discuss your vision, and how we can make it happen. One of my favorite things is when my clients share vision boards with me. I am a visual person (clearly). Show me your desired shots. Tell me the feelings you want to remember. Once I get a good feel for who you are and what matters most to you, the magic happens and I am able to pinpoint special details that you yourself may have missed. You'll be glad I caught them.
I deliver a portion of portraits in black and white. Many times, black and white fits the mood better. When you take color out of the picture, the viewer can focus more clearly on the meaning of the photo. Black and white isn't for every portrait, and neither is color. I take pride in having the skill to decide which moments those are. Although the portrait below has a touch of sepia in its tones, I couldn't find a better example to evoke raw emotion than this infant looking on to his mother. This portrait was taken early on in my career, and it's an image I am proud of.
